Amy tops the internet downloads
Mark Prigg, Evening Standard11 Dec 2007
Amy Winehouse's Back to Black album was the most downloaded in the UK this year, Apple said today.
The troubled jazz singer, who was last week nominated for six Grammys, beat Mika's Life in Cartoon Motion and the Arctic Monkeys' Favourite Worst Nightmare for the title.
In the singles chart, Mika's Grace Kelly was the top track, followed by Rihanna's Umbrella.
"It's been an amazing year for digital music, and I think we have finally seen it come of age," said Oliver Schusser, director of iTunes Europe for Apple, which compiled the chart from downloads from its online store.
He said: "We have seen the emergence of download only singles, which have done very well. The industry realises what an important part downloading plays.
"We were lucky to have Mika and Amy Winehouse play at our iTunes London festival, and that is something we would like to continue in 2008."

I'm not surprised by this article... I bought the album (and have been a fan for ages) and think it is the BEST album that I have heard in a very long time.
