With a single dessert and just two glasses of wine our bill was kept in check - but the effort of doing so was not much fun
Babbo
Film
This is a film with beautiful performances and a visual style that urges you towards reflection
Bright Star
Theatre
Although the first half of Kwei-Armah’s production is pacy, funny and intelligent, the energy level then drops off
Seize The Day
I loved this film from start to finish. Take the girlfriend, tell your mum - I'd see it again tomorrow and will buy the dvd.
I saw this last night and can't remember the last time I was so moved in the theatre.
I have been to many of London's so-called best Japanese restaurants and none have been as good as the food that I've had at Aqua Kyoto

Sam Sparro has now been perched in the top five for more than a month with his hit single Black And Gold, and is accordingly becoming an increasingly popular live draw.
That was no excuse for the shambolic entry system at this new venue that made me miss nearly half of his short set — bouncers yelling “What’s going on?” to each other, guests refused entry except in the unlikely event that other people left, and even some who had paid in advance being offered refunds instead of the entertainment they expected.
Inside at last, the atmosphere was significantly more cordial. Sparro, a Los Angeles-based Australian with novelty specs and the kind of rich voice that almost never emanates from a white guy, led his lively band on an electrofunk romp that never flagged.
His background as a gospel singer explained the powerful lungs of his three backing vocalists but he hardly needed them as he draped his resonant tones over the futuristic house of Sick and a cover of Crystal Waters’ dance classic Gypsy Woman. Standout, of course, was Black And Gold, probably the only disco favourite about doubting the existence of God — and all the better for its uniqueness.

I saw Sam Sparro last night, and was amazed as he was the supporting artist to Robyn, and was blown away by his music and stage presence.
I would liken his stage presence to that of Robbie Williams. And his voice is just amazing. I would have to say that he made Robyn's set disappointing as he was too good!
