£100 million yacht breaks Harrods record for most expensive item sold
11 May 2011
The 295ft six-deck project Mars is the costliest item ever to go on sale at the Knightsbridge store.
A total of 19 boats will be available during the one-month partnership with Watkins Superyachts, with the cheapest costing a mere £7 million. Harrods's director of advertising, Guy Cheston, said: "Harrods aims to provide new and exclusive products and with this spectacular range of boats we have surpassed all expectations."
Customers who may not be able to afford or want their own yacht can ask about chartering a cruiser and yachting holidays.
