£10,000 bags stolen in second raid on boutique

A gang stole £10,000 worth of designer handbags from a boutique after threatening staff with a knife.

The three robbers, who wore black balaclava-style masks, burst into Larizia in Temple Fortune Parade and grabbed 20 bags while menacing shop owner Marian Zandi and amember of staff. They escaped in a waiting car.

Ms Zandi said: "They just rushed in and grabbed the bags while one of them threatened us with a knife and told us not to come near them. We couldn't see their faces. I am just glad everyone is all right and nobody was hurt. It was very frightening."

Police hunting the gang are studying CCTV footage of Monday's 11am raid from the shop's security cameras.

Earlier this year, thieves made off with 50 handbags worth up to £50,000 in a ram raid at Larizia.
