£500 bounty on giant killer eel

The owner of a trout farm in Australia has offered a reward for the capture of a giant eel that has eaten his fish and frightened tourists.

Gary Wales, of Tommy Finn's Trout Farm in Millgrove, 70km east of Melbourne, is offering £500 to anyone who can catch the eel alive. A tourist reported the eel being up to 4m long.

It is probably a long-finned eel - a variety which can travel far over damp ground and even climb walls.
