A grandstand view, yours for £2,000

It is the biggest draw in town - the chance to see whether England can defeat the Australians and win back the Ashes.

But tickets for the fifth and final Test, which begins at the Oval tomorrow, sold out weeks ago.

One last opportunity remains - the chance to rent a flat near the Oval for a week, with panoramic views.

There is the bonus of watching the final Test match of England's star all-rounder, Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff, who inspired the team to Ashes victory at the same ground four years ago under England captain Andrew Strauss. The flats, which each allow four people to watch the match, are offered for £2,000 each for the week - or £100 per person a day, assuming the match lasts five days.

A penthouse suite with its own balcony in the same block - Oval Mansions - went for £23,000 four years ago.

The two flats available allow access to a communal terrace overlooking the pitch and can accommodate 50 to 60 people.

Big screens are also to be set up for fans to see the action. They will be in Cardinal Place near Victoria station, New Street Square near New Fetter Lane and Bankside Mix near Waterloo.

If interested in renting a flat, contact Athene on 0207 720 4370 or go to www.atkinsonmcleod.com
