Two female police workers with Yardie boyfriends today admitted sabotaging police computers, forcing a review of recruitment and auditing procedures costing tens of thousands of pounds.

The women, both 21, who worked at Stoke Newington station, made hundreds of unauthorisedchecks on their boyfriends and other criminals. Drug and gun crime-fighting intelligence may have been compromised.

Davina Kirwan, who worked in the 999 control room, and station receptionist Sunshes Pike-Williams admitted misconduct in a public office at Southwark Crown Court. They admitted snooping into the police database and entering false information.

The two women deny conspiracy to pervert the cause of justice by passing information on to their partners, concealing crimes and obstructing investigations.

Both were released on conditional bail but warned they could face prison when they are sentenced next month. They stay suspended from Met duty.
