Jilted lover posted Net sex video
By Metro Last updated at 00:00am on 13.08.04A jilted boyfriend put a video on the Internet of himself and his former girlfriend having sex, in a revenge attack on his ex.
Paul Clarke posted the lewd footage on the Web after his bitter split from Cara Whitehouse, a court was told.
Business cards with the website address were handed out at her 21st birthday party, to her neighbours and at her workplace.
The site contained explicit pictures of Miss Whitehouse and abusive comments. The police were called but, by the time it was shut down, the site had received more than 300 hits.
Gary Logan, prosecuting, said: 'It can't be stressed too strongly the sinister nature of the offence. She has to go on in her life not knowing who has seen the website.'
Greg Kemp, defending, told magistrates in Tameside, Greater Manchester, that Clarke acted after learning his girlfriend of three years was having an affair. 'He was heartbroken,' he added.
Clarke, 26, from the Isle of Harris in Scotland, pleaded guilty to causing harassment in June. The case was adjourned until next month for pre-sentence reports.
