Caught on camera: The ghost of Henry VIII
Last updated at 12:37pm on 07.02.08Grandmother Anne Lambert was stunned when she captured what looks like the ghost of Henry VIII on her mobile phone while staying at a Tudor manor house.
The 54-year-old was spending the night at Samlesbury Hall, when she heard some ghostly noises.
The nail technician, from Clayton Brook, Lancs, was alone in a dark room when she sensed something and quickly pulled out her mobile phone and started taking photographs.

Caught on camera: The ghostly image looks like Henry VIII
But it was only when she got home the following day and looked at the images that Anne realised she may have captured a ghostly figure resembling the Tudor monarch on camera.
Recalling the late night tour of the 14th century manor house, near Preston, Anne said: "I was upstairs near the Priest Room.
"There were two people in the room, then they left, and all the hairs on the back of my neck started to stand on end.
"I thought, there's something there. I was taking different photos around the room. It was pitch darkness. I was on my own. I thought, if there's something there it will come up on the film.
"I didn't find out until the day after. I said to my son, 'that's a ghost on there isn't it?' and he said, 'it looks like it'.
"Then I said, hey, it looks like Henry VIII."

Shocked: Anne Lambert took the photo on her mobile phone at a 14th Century house
It's the first time Ann has captured something like this on camera, although she does feel presences around her.
She said: "It scared me a little bit, when you think you were so close to something like that."
Ann joked that she was a little worried - with her name being Anne - like two of Henry VIII's wives.
She said: "I'm thinking, Anne Boleyn. I might be reincarnated! I'm glad I didn't stop around, he might have chopped my head off!"
Lindsay Murray, functions and events manager at Samlesbury Hall, was excited to hear they may have a new ghost at the hall.
When told of the photograph, she said: "We have never had any photos of Henry VIII before. It's something new and exciting and fantastic if there's a good picture of him."

At first I only recognized the shadow of something like a person.
But after half a minute, when I went back with my head getting more distance to the photo, I watched a person, who looked similar to Henry VIII.
So I called for my son, an 18 year young Medieval Re-enactor, without telling him, what I probably supposed to had seen. When my son looked at the photo he said to me :
" Look Ma, who is this! - It is Henry VIII., King of England - ! Watch the Top of the picture, you will see his head with his crown on it, - his eyes, his large nose and his mouth surrounded by his beard. Finally I can recognize His big fat body "!
My son was not scared in any way! He only added, that this would be no wonder to watch Henry's spirit / soul on earth !
" He has done so many cruel things under his last years of reign - and left so many unguilty victims. Now he is damned to walk the earth and unable to find his peace " he said !

I know I'm only an American but I can't make that shape into Henry VIII no how, no way.
Anybody else see it?

It looks like what now? That looks like numerous photo's I've previously taken on my older mobile phones with no flash.

No: it looks like Anne Lambert. Perhaps the white spot is the reflection of the light from her phone's camera as she faced something reflective ?
