Angelina has been seeing ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller

Even for a Hollywood star, Angelina Jolie's love life has been colourful - marked by marriage ceremonies involving blood rituals and tattoos. With her acrimonious second marriage to American actor Billy Bob Thornton behind her, she has returned to first husband, Jonny Lee Miller.

She said last night: "We are very, very close. We see each other a lot. Jonny is wonderful."

Since she moved to Britain with her twoyearold adopted Cambodian son Maddox, she and Trainspotting star Miller have had a string of secret dates.

They were together again publicly when he joined her at the London premiere party for her latest blockbuster Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.

The pair - who met while filming Hackers in 1994 - flirted and cuddled for more than three hours at the party at the In and Out Club in Piccadilly, with Miller still sporting the coiled serpent tattoo he had to celebrate their 1996 wedding.

A close friend of the couple said: "It's early days - but they are very much back on each other's radar. They have met up for quite a few dates since Angelina has been living in Britain. They seem to be starting off where they left off. They are soulmates."

The couple stuck tight by one another all night surrounded by four bodyguards. Jolie told her minders they did not want to be disturbed, before they engaged in an intense and flirty chat for more than an hour. An onlooker said: "At the start, they were talking to separate people but kept breaking away to give each other a reassuring touch, then as the night wore on, they were locked in conversation and no one else could get a look in.

"They looked so comfortable - there was no doubt they were much more than friends."

As the party came to a close, the couple arranged to meet in a few days before exchanging a passionate embrace. Miller, 30, left first and his actor friend Sean Pertwee teased him about his rediscovered flame. Jolie, 28, stayed on to chat to executives from movie firm UIP.

In a recent interview, Jolie revealed that she had turned to Miller for comfort and support following her divorce from Thornton last year.

At her marriage ceremony to Miller, she wore a white shirt with his name written on it in her blood. They separated a year later, mainly because Miller had had enough of Hollywood and returned to Britain.

Jolie said at the premiere that she sees herself as a permanent resident in the UK.

She said: "I'm doing flying school here and sending Maddox to school here - and yes, I have just bought a home in Buckinghamshire."
