Kershaw was taken to court after flouting an order banning him from contacting Juliette Banner, the mother of his two children.
He fought back tears as he said: "I have lost my kids. I have lost the woman I love. I have lost everything.
It is a very difficult time for me. I just want peace and quiet."

Happier days: Andy Kershaw with his ex-partner Juliette Banner
Miss Banner, 42, took out a yearlong restraining order on Kershaw last month after he refused to accept the breakdown in their relationship.
But within days he breached the ban and tried to contact her at the home she moved into with their children Sonny, nine, and Dolly, eight, after splitting from him a year ago. Kershaw spent six nights behind bars after he was arrested near her house in Peel on the Isle of Man.
The couple moved from North London to a seafront mansion in Peel last year. Miss Banner moved out with the children to a terraced house nearby.
Yesterday, Kershaw appeared before deputy high bailiff Alastair Montgomerie accused of causing fear, alarm or distress to Miss Banner and a second victim, Jim Imrie. Mr Imrie's status in relation to Miss Banner was not given in court.
Kershaw, 47, admitted the charges as well as confessing to drink-driving at nearly twice the legal limit last week, shortly after being released on bail for the other offences.
Appearing in the dock scruffily dressed in a green jacket and jeans, he hung his head as he was ordered to stay out of pubs and restaurants, stay away from Miss Banner and stick to a 9pm to 7am curfew until he can be sentenced next month.
Mr Montgomerie adjourned sentencing for reports and said: "All options are open."
Kershaw was released on conditional bail with a £2,000 bond.
The Rochdale-born presenter, who fronted a Radio 1 show for 15 years and has championed world music on Radio 3, has been off the airwaves since May.
