Bus-stop killer Bellfield gloated about attacks to ex-wife and kept a 'rape kit' in the garage
27 February 2008
Bus-stop killer Levi Bellfield used to beat his ex-wife with a hammer and gloat about having raped girls on a night out.
He even kept a special "raping kit" in his garage where he stored women's magazines in which the faces of all of the blonde girls had been hacked out, according to his ex-wife.
Terrified Johanna Collings lived with Amelie Delagrange and Marsha McDonnell's murderer for two and a half years – and believes he may have attacked as many as 100 girls during that period.

Levi Bellfield would boast to his terrified ex-wife of his raping sprees across South-West London
"When he came in late at night after working on a club door, he would tell me how he had 'another little slut' in the back," she told the Sun.
"Levi took great pleasure in telling me how they fancied a kiss and a cuddle. But when he got them where he wanted them, he just took them.
"I would be told to get out of bed and scrub the cars out so there was no trace left of whatever he had done."
Miss Hollings had two children with Bellfield, a son and a daughter.
She met him when she was at her lowest point after her father had died and she had just broken up with her boyfriend.

Two days later, Bellfield had moved into the home she shared with her mother in Strawberry Hill, South-West London and within days he was beating her regularly.
She said: "He'd wrap his belt round my throat, choke me and rape me. He'd make me do whatever he wanted. I'd be told, 'Be a good little slut'.
"Levi used lit cigarettes on me, beat me with pool cues and ashtrays, threw me down the stairs and even once took a claw hammer to my body."
Bellfield made no secret of the fact that he was spending his evenings viciously attacking innocent girls and boasted to his horrified and broken wife of his evil conquests.
"He would tell me straight out if he had raped a girl — or even two — on an evening. He'd laugh and say they deserved what they got.

Map of Bellfield's attacks: The killer is suspected of many more, including Milly Dowler
"He warned them what would happen if they went to police. I was just too scared to even think of saying anything."
"I could see he had to do worse and worse things to get his kicks. He told me he was going out at night to an alley which led away from the station at Strawberry Hill, to try to find women getting off trains.
"He said he could never get one who was all on her own to 'play with'. I blanked it out."
Miss Collings said that she once discovered his "rape kit" in their garage which consisted of a full-face balaclava, a 10-inch hunting knife and a specially designed coat.
Most chilling of all, she found a discarded Cosmopolitan magazine in which all of the faces of the blonde girls had been scratched out.
Despite her fear, she confronted Bellfield about her discovery.
Bellfield's reaction when she challenged him was typically explosive.
"He beat me and forced my face over the pictures of the blondes, shouting 'I f***ing hate blondes, they should all f***ing die'."
Collings finally managed to summon up the courage to contact police after the murder of Amelie Delagrange.
Johanna Collings' story is far from unique. Two of Bellfield's other long-term partners have spoken of how they were raped and beaten.
