C4 guilty over Big Brother race row - but escapes fine

Channel Four has been found guilty in an investigation over racism during Celebrity Big Brother.

TV watchdog Ofcom has decided station bosses failed to intervene when Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty was subjected to abuse from Jade Goody on the reality show.

But it decided Channel 4 will not be fined.

Thousands of viewers complained over the treatment of Shetty who at one point was told to "go back to the slums".
