Cameron pledge for a united Britain

Many Tory MPs claim it is unfair that Scottish MPs can vote on issues solely affecting people in England but English MPs have no reciprocal rights. Mr Cameron said MPs in England should have a greater say on English-only laws.
He also promised to reform the Barnett formula - a financial settlement giving Scotland and Wales a generous share of public spending - but said preserving the union must come before any constitutional changes.
"I want to find practical and fair solutions for our asymmetric constitutional and economic arrangements," he said.
"But if it should ever come to a choice between constitutional perfection and the preservation of our nation, I choose our United Kingdom. Better an imperfect union than a perfect divorce."
Mr Cameron said the union between England and Scotland was looking more "fragile and threatened" than at any time in recent history.
His comments came as an ICM poll for The Daily Telegraph found 69 per cent of people want to preserve the union.
