A baby girl was flung 10ft through the air after her mother was hit by a car as she held the child in a carrier seat.
Thirteen-week-old Tilly Dickman landed on the road, still strapped in the seat. It protected her from the force of the impact and amazingly she survived unharmed.
Her mother Sarah was also hurled into the air. But, although her head smashed the windscreen of the car which hit her, she too escaped serious injury.
Danger: CCTV catches Sarah Dickman carrying Tilly as a car approaches
Mrs Dickman, 37, was crossing a road in Yeovil, Somerset, on Tuesday, with Tilly in a carrier seat.
CCTV captured the moment when the pair were struck by a car driven by an elderly man, and showed them both being flung into the air.
Mrs Dickman said: 'It's a miracle that we're both alive and have no broken bones.
Horror: The car slams into mother and daughter
'All I remember was hearing a great big bang and I was in the road. I think Tilly was thrown from my arms in the car seat.
'I jumped to my feet and said, "Oh my God, my baby".'
As she frantically looked for her daughter, a passer-by realised Mrs Dickman could be seriously hurt and restrained her while a woman picked up Tilly in her Graco seat.
Miracle: Mrs Dickman was only bruised and Tilly totally unharmed

'I am so grateful to everyone who came to our aid,' said Mrs Dickman, of Middle Green, Beaminster, Dorset.
Tilly was given the all-clear by paramedics at the scene, but as a precaution spent the night in Yeovil District Hospital with her mother, who had bruises and a frozen shoulder.
The only damage to the car seat was gouges along its underside where it skidded along the road.
Mrs Dickman's husband Andy, 38, an unemployed window fitter, said: 'Tilly owes her life to that car seat - if she hadn't been strapped into it, it would have been a very different outcome.
'Incredibly she was unscathed - she's a tough girl - her mum is too! I'm going to ring the manufacturers to thank them.'
Police have interviewed witnesses and the motorist, and said he had been reported for suspected driving offences.
The couple's other daughter, four-year-old Molly, was swimming with friends at the time.
In a day of mishaps, she slipped at the pool and cut her chin and was treated at Bridport Hospital.
