Chav Lotto millionaire Michael Carroll ordered to clean up his wrecked £320,000 mansion - before he can rent it out to immigrants

Lotto winner Michael Carroll, who won £9.7m in 2002, has vowed to clean up his trashed £320,000 mansion

Lotto lout Michael Carroll has pledged to clean up his wrecked £320,000 mansion and rent it out to immigrant workers.

Carroll, who won £9.7m in 2002, forked out for the sprawling mansion called The Grange in Norfolk, after he hit the jackpot.

But it's been turned into an eyesore, stripped of fixtures, fittings and wiring by looters and its grounds littered with blown-out tyres, hubcaps, broken computer consoles and broken glass.

The former binman, 25, used it for demolition derbies and drink-crazed parties.

Carroll said he was planning to renovate it and wanted to let it out to migrant workers.

He said he had wanted to demolish the ruined property and build nine homes to sell on but had been unable to get planning permission due to problems over access on to the A47.

Carroll said: "I want to get it done up in the next six or eight months and rent it out."

Estate agent Ian Revell said The Grange was worth as little as £150,000, but it would have sold for £500,000 if it had been properly looked after.

Breckland Council said it was powerless to do anything about the eyesore, because it was in private hands and no environmental health or structural concerns had been raised about it.

Carroll has blown his massive Lottery win on women, alcohol and cocaine.

He also racked up ASBOs, motoring offences, criminal charges and a prison sentence.

Carroll moved from The Grange in 2004 to a £350,000 ranch style home in Bexwell Road in Downham Market before moving to Felbrigg Road.
