Chelsy's parting gift for Iraq-bound Prince Harry, a £20k watch
11 May 2007
The besotted beauty has just splashed out £20,000 on a diamond encrusted Jacob & Co watch as a going-away present before he sets off for Iraq.
The designer watches, which are favoured by the likes of David Beckham, P Diddy, Madonna and JLo, are renowned for their brightly coloured faces and sparkling diamonds all around the rim.
We're told Harry, 22, has yearned for one of the celeb accessories for quite a while and Chelsy is ready to surprise him with the gift on their last night together before he flies out to the war zone for six months.

The 21-year-old has, however, settled on a more subtle and classy version of the watch than those owned by the likes of Beckham and Diddy.
It has diamonds around the monochrome face and tiny detailed dials show the time in different zones around the world.
We hope we haven't spoiled the surprise, guys!

The couple, who have been together for two-and-a-half years, are set to bid a tearful farewell to each other later this month as Harry goes on a six-month tour of duty with his Blues and Royals regiment.
A pal tells us: "Chelsy wanted to get Harry something very special as a going-away gift and a watch is ideal.
"Every time he looks at it he'll think of his girlfriend back home.
"It's obviously a difficult and slightly worrying time for both of them, especially after all the publicity surrounding the death threats against him.
"Chelsy just wanted to bring a smile to Harry's face before he went to war. It's also quite sweet as he's wanted one of those watches for quite a while now, but never actually bought one for himself.
"Chelsy picked up on this and splashed a lot of cash to make her man happy."
Even Harry is being kept in the dark as to exactly when he will be deployed, but friends say he is champing at the bit to get out to Iraq.
It seems as if he's had a million leaving parties already.
Two weeks ago he gave an emotional farewell speech when he reserved the whole Mahiki club for a private party, where guests included his girlfriend and brother William.
In the speech, he called Chelsy a "wonderful girl" and said he was proud to be serving his country.
We presume the Prince won't be wearing his new accessory while on duty!
