Chickenpox vaccine 'should be routine'

A vaccine for "varicella" is available and could be added to the existing measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) jab, the report from Bristol University says.

Doctors in the UK and Ireland recorded 112 confirmed cases of kids with chickenpox admitted to hospital in 2002-3 with severe complications, including septic shock, pneumonia and the flesh-eating bacteria necrotising fasciitis. Five died.
