Stamina: Asher Silver practised for three days for his epic climb
A 10-year-old Londoner is believed to be the youngest Briton to climb Mont Blanc.
Asher Silver, from Highgate, climbed western Europe's highest peak last week. He had no formal training and said it was "easy".
He completed the climb with his father Nick, 46, and a guide after three days of practice at the resort of Chamonix near the mountain, which is 4,810 metres above sea level in the French Alps.
"It's an impressive achievement for anybody," said Tony Ryan, of the British Mountaineering Council. "I've not heard of younger ascents."
Asher, who last year climbed the 4,197 metre Grand Tatum in Wyoming, said: "I love to look out and see just how far I've come. You look down and see tiny specks."
Mr Silver said: "He was always climbing tall trees. I thought it was better for him to start properly."
