David Cameron at the (stockinged) feet of a legend

No one does casual better than Nelson Mandela, who wears his cheerfully loud shirts, tie-less and not tucked in, even to meet the Queen.
So David Cameron didn't really stand a chance.
Though the Tory leader had left his own tie behind and even opened his top button, he was still in the politician's uniform of a black suit.
The casuals: A tieless David Cameron meets Mr Mandela, whose need to rest his feet transcended sartorial protocol
Mr Mandela, on the other hand, was so laid back he was almost horizontal. Literally.
The former South African president leaned right back into a plush comfort of an armchair and put his stockinged feet up on a comfy stool.
Unfortunately, his colourful outfit was rather too well matched with the furniture, leaving the distinct impression that his head was floating in mid-air.
Since Mr Mandela arrived in London last week to celebrate his 90th birthday next month, everyone from international statesmen to celebrity models has fallen over themselves to bask in his glory.
Samantha and David Cameron with Mr Mandela
Having met Gordon Brown, TV talk show queen Oprah Winfrey and former U.S. president Bill Clinton at events including last week's special dinner in Hyde Park and a charity concert, it was Mr Cameron's chance yesterday to catch a quick word.
He and his wife Samantha, wearing a demure polka-dot dress, appeared to hit it off immediately with the veteran politician in his suite at the Dorchester Hotel.
