Delayed study of 7/7 intelligence to be published

A report on the intelligence relating to the 7/7 terror attacks will be published in less than two weeks, intelligence and security committee chairman Kim Howells told MPs today.

The Labour former foreign office minister said the "detailed report" was sent to Gordon Brown in July last year but could not be published for legal reasons.

But, following completion of legal proceedings, the committee has produced an update which was sent to the Prime Minister yesterday.

Mr Howells said: "I'm informed the Prime Minister will publish the report, and the update, on Tuesday 19 May."
