Double rapist escapes from embassy guard

An illegal immigrant rapist was on the run today after fleeing as he was being taken to the lavatory in the Pakistan High Commission.

Imtiaz Hussain, 44, escaped from the building in Victoria after he attended a meeting on Friday to get a new passport so he could be deported to Pakistan.

Hussain was jailed for nine years after he tried to rape two women at knifepoint in Derby in 2004. Having served his term, he was due to be sent back to his homeland.

He was being escorted by security guards from G4S Care and Justice Services. Police described Hussain as "very dangerous". He is about 5ft 5ins, medium to chubby build, with dark cropped hair.
