Injured: Brian Anthony Burgin denies deliberately driving at Naseem Hamed's wife, forcing her to swerve off the road
Anthony Burgin had suffered injuries to every bone in his body, including broken arms and legs, when Hamed smashed into his car.
Two years later he emerged from behind a parked pick-up in his Land Rover Freelander and headed straight for Eleasha Hamed's Audi Q7, Sheffield Crown Court was told.
She was forced to swerve and ended up on a grass verge, it was claimed.
Mrs Hamed, 34, said the other driver came over to her and she recognised him as 41-year-old Burgin, a near-neighbour.
She said to him: "What have you done? I can't believe you have done this."
Burgin, who calmly leaned on her window, replied: "Never mind all of this, you get your husband to ring me."
Mrs Hamed went on: "His eyes were looking right at me.
"It was quite scary. I couldn't believe it.I was so shocked. I was frightened."
She said Burgin told her to get the boxer to phone him.
He kept saying "he's nothing but a coward" and as she drove off he was still shouting at her.
Naseem Hamed, 34, served 16 weeks of a 15-month jail term imposed at Sheffield Crown Court in May 2006 after he admitted dangerous driving in the smash involving Burgin, who is pursuing a claim for compensation.

The boxer caused a three-car crash while overtaking on the wrong side of the road at 90mph while showing off his new £320,000 McLaren Mercedes SLR sports car to a businessman friend.
His car crashed head-on into a a VW Golf driven by Burgin, putting him in intensive care for almost a month.
His left leg had to be shortened by nearly two inches and his wife Clare was left afraid of getting into a car again.
Hamed during his world championship boxing career
Burgin, of Bents Green, Sheffield, denies dangerous driving on the outskirts of Sheffield on April 19 last year.
The court heard that Burgin lived near the Hameds, who have since moved.
Twice before this incident he had approached Mrs Hamed on foot outside the gates of her mansion as she went on the school run, and demanded to speak to her husband.
Andrew Dallas, prosecuting, said that Burgin blamed the near-collision on Mrs Hamed, who he said drove straight at him.
Burgin claimed it was "pure chance" that they had met on a country road near their homes.
But Mr Dallas told the court: "This was not a chance encounter.
"It was a deliberate attempt to interfere with another driver which caused her distress."
The case continues.
