Sophie Wessex and Prince Edward's son will be known as Viscount Severn
His full name is James Alexander Philip Theo Mountbatten-Windsor - although he will use only Windsor - and he will be known by his father's subsidiary title of Viscount Severn.
The couple are said to have chosen James and Alexander simply because they are their favourite names.

Philip is included as a tribute to Prince Edward's father, the Duke of Edinburgh, while Theo is the name of Sophie's grandfather.
Buckingham Palace said the Queen and Sophie's father, Christopher Rhys-Jones, were consulted over the names and are "content" with the couple's decision.
James is the Queen's eighth grandchild and is eighth in line to the throne, jumping ahead of his fouryearold sister Lady Louise, who moves down to ninth.

He arrived by planned caesarean section at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey on Monday, weighing 6lb 2oz.
The uneventful birth was a great relief to his parents, after Lady Louise was born prematurely due to complications that put both her and Sophie in danger.
The Wessexes showed off James as they left the hospital on Thursday. Edward, cradling his son, said he was "small, cute and cuddly".
Explaining why they hadn't decided on a name before the birth, he said: "You've got to get to know the small person who's just come into the world before you pick a name."
The name James has extensive Royal connections - but they can hardly be called auspicious.
James I, born in 1566, was also James VI of Scotland before inheriting the English throne.
His father Lord Darnley was murdered before his first birthday and his mother, Mary, Queen of Scots, was executed by Elizabeth I.
James II, brother of Charles II, was an unpopular king because of his conversion to Catholicism.
He was deposed by his daughter Mary and son-in-law William of Orange in 1688.
