Fans get chance to question Day-Lewis

Daniel Day-Lewis is to make a rare public appearance when he will speak at a preview of his new Oscar-nominated movie.

The 50-year-old, who won a Golden Globe and is tipped to win best actor at the Oscars, will be at the Clapham Picturehouse on 11 February.

Day-Lewis, who was born in London and now lives in Ireland, will take part in a question-and-answer session after a screening of There Will Be Blood, in which he plays a Texan oil prospector.

The talk will be beamed live via satellite to 14 other Picturehouse cinemas, including Greenwich and the Ritzy in Brixton.
