John Woodgate, 59, averaged 1,000 tickets a year during his 11 years as a warden in Haverhill, Suffolk.
Woodgate was so feared amongst Haverhill motorists, he was dubbed The Terminator because of his huge volume of ticketing.
Now a trained police community support officers, Woodgate has been transferred 17 miles away to Sudbury, where he hopes to repeat his success.
He said: "Parking is my number one priority. My brief is to clean up the town. I will look for any cars parked on double yellow lines, in loading bays or illegally in disabled bays.
"One of the Pcs at Haverhill told people on a training course that I had issued 11,000 parking tickets and someone said 'that's like the Terminator' - and that's where the name comes from.
"In 2002 I wrote 1,500 tickets and that was just in Haverhill town centre. I am looking forward to getting started in Sudbury."
Sudbury Mayor Peter Goodchild said: "The town council welcomes any move to control parking in Sudbury.
"There seems to be very little control at the moment. People seem to park anywhere, whether it is on double yellow lines or whatever.
"We would welcome any controls that keep traffic moving and disabled bays free for disabled drivers. Anybody who obeys traffic regulations will have nothing to worry about."
