Gary supports Take That on home turf

A LITTLE-KNOWN singer who grew up in the shadow of Wembley has been picked to support Take That at the stadium.

Gary Go was plucked from relative obscurity by the band for four Wembley shows and will also perform a 20-date tour in stadiums across Britain with the group, who call him a "rare and talented artist".

Singer-songwriter Gary, 24, who grew up as Gary Baker, said his childhood home was yards from Wembley. "I used to sit in the garden and listen to people like Michael Jackson. I remember hearing the bass line to Billie Jean and the crowd going crazy.

"Wembley has played a big part in my life and that me playing there was somehow meant to happen."
