Gilberto: I can't see a future here

Gilberto admits he cannot currently "see any future" for himself with Arsenal.

The Brazil captain has started just five Premier League games for Arsene Wenger's side this term as Mathieu Flamini and Cesc Fabregas have monopolised the central midfield berths.

And Gilberto, 31, insists he will look to move elsewhere in the summer if he cannot oust his younger rivals.

"At the moment I cannot see any future for me at the club," he said.

"I will see in the next few months and until the end [of the season] if I will get the chance to come back in the team. If not, I will see what I am going to do.

"It's been painful for me and to stay another season like this would kill me. I will have to sit down with Arsene [Wenger] as I am not happy."
