Vanessa Lloyd Platt, who has appeared on programmes including GMTV and Richard & Judy, told officers that Daniel Lloyd Platt had tried to spike her food.
The 53-year-old made the claims during the later stages of the couple's divorce last year, after 17 years of marriage.

Mrs Lloyd Platt - whose books include Secrets of Relationship Success - is believed to have told police the 64-year-old chartered accountant planned to poison her by lacing her food with chemicals.
Mr Lloyd Platt, pictured right with his ex-wife, was arrested at their £1.5million home in Barnet, North London, last November.
But charges were not brought against him.
Instead, police are believed to have become suspicious about his ex-wife's version of events.

Last night, Mr Lloyd Platt said he had tried to 'behave with dignity' throughout their divorce.
Mrs Lloyd Platt's eldest son from her first marriage, Michael Conway, 28, said: 'I'm fully behind my mother against these allegations, she is going through a very tough time at the moment.'
