The 26-year-old equestrian executed what seemed like a perfect dive off her horse and into a water-filled ditch at the prestigious CCI event in France.

Unseated: Red Baron takes a nasty twist as he lands, sending Zara out of the saddle
She got up and declared herself 'a little bit stiff'.
Zara was riding a new back-up horse, Red Baron, at the event in Pau, near the Pyrenees. One onlooker said: 'She came over Jump Ten beautifully.
"Then she came to the next fence but the horse did not take enough steps and hit the top of it.
"She was one of the luckiest riders I've seen. The horse's legs are fully extended out front and somehow she rolled out of their way.
"She got up immediately and was bent over with her hands on her knees, catching her breath. She was very winded. I went over and asked her if she was OK but I won't repeat what she said. She was just so annoyed with herself."

As it was Zara and not her horse who had suffered the fall she could have remounted and attempted to complete the course but she decided not to.
She was consoled by her father, Captain Mark Phillips, who was watching her progress as well as training some American competitors.

Scrubs up nicely: Glamorous Zara in her spare time
It's not the first time Zara has taken a tumble. In June, she fell with a sickening crunch at the Bramham International Horse Trials in North Yorkshire, but emerged unscathed.
And three years ago she was knocked unconscious in a fall at a three-day event at Lulworth Castle in Dorset.
