Grocer was stabbed to death 'in row over orange'

Khalilulah Naseri watched Delroy Brown, 39, taking the fruit from a street display outside his shop on the corner of Electric Avenue and Atlantic Road in Brixton market, the jury was told.
He challenged Brown when he saw him start to peel the orange with a knife. As the row escalated members of staff and other shopkeepers joined Mr Naseri's side and Brown was struck, possibly by a broom handle, the court heard.
He stormed off shouting: "I'm coming back for your blood." Two days later he returned with two other men and stabbed Mr Naseri and injured other members of staff. Brown, of Kennington, denies murder in January this year and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with others.
Peter Kite QC, prosecuting, said: "This is a case of a young man who was murdered because of a row about a piece of fruit. Brown had been publicly humiliated when confronted by the shopkeeper.
"In a revenge raid Brown and his partners in crime assaulted three members of the shop staff and stabbed Mr Naseri who died almost instantaneously."
The case continues.
