Harry Redknapp in new police quiz - just hours after he wins £1,000 damages over 'unlawful' bungs raid

Football manager Harry Redknapp and his wife were awarded £1,000 damages from the police yesterday after the High Court ruled that a dawn raid on their home had been unlawful.
Judges said the warrant to search the Redknapps’ house as part of a corruption inquiry was invalid and City of London Police made ‘wholly unacceptable’ procedural failures in applying for it.
The police must also pay 25 per cent of the Redknapps’ costs, thought to be £10,000, plus their own legal fees, making the final bill about £50,000.
Police deny tipping off newspaper photographers present at the 6am raid on the Portsmouth FC boss’s home in Poole, Dorset, last November.
Only his wife Sandra was at home at the time. Redknapp, whose team won the FA Cup last weekend, was travelling back from Germany and later voluntarily attended Chichester police station, where he was arrested and held for seven hours.
Redknapp answered police bail yesterday and was interviewed for a second time over the allegations of corrupt player transfer deals.
He was later released on bail again.
Nine people are on bail in connection with the ongoing corruption inquiry.
