Headless body in duvet found behind shops

A headless corpse was found dumped and bound in a duvet today yards from one of London's busiest roads.

A passer-by discovered the body in a trolley behind a parade of shops near Kilburn High Road at about 7am. The duvet or blanket had been secured with duct tape, the Met said.

A murder inquiry has been launched and officers were searching for the head of the man.

Detectives are working on the theory that the man, who may have been homeless, could have been killed some time ago because the material he was found in was not bloodstained.
