Incest monster Fritzl puts house of horrors up for rent... but dungeon where he held family captive remains off limits

Greedy: Josef Fritzl, 73, wants to rent out his home in Amstetten

Incest monster Josef Fritzl is planning to make a killing by renting out the house where he built his secret dungeon to sick thrill seekers, it emerged today.

The house - where callous Fritzl tossed a baby's body in the furnace - is being prepared for a public opening as greedy Fritzl tries to cash in on his notoriety.

The monster has even hired a lawyer who negotiated a string of lucrative movie deals for Elfriede Blauensteiner, the country's most notorious killer before Josef Fritzl.

'He wants to make money and he's not fussy about how. Like it or not, the name Fritzl is now some sort of brand and he wants to maximise his opportunities,' said one adviser.

He lived in a top floor apartment with his wife Rosemarie, 69, and three of the seven children he fathered with his daughter Elisabeth, 42.

The other flats in the house were rented out until Fritzl’s arrest, when horrified tenants terminated their contracts and moved out.

’We could not endure living so close to the torture cellar and being reminded every day of it,’ one said.

‘That is why we wanted nothing but to get out of there and start a new life with our children somewhere else.’

With talks for a book deal, the final package could be worth more than £10 million to the pervert who imprisoned his daughter Elisabeth for 24 years and fathered six surviving children with her.

Austrian authorities are powerless to stop Fritzl, 74, renting out the house of horror in Amstetten, claims Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung.

Even the dungeon basement can be hired out once the trial is over and it ceases to be a crime scene.

Fritzl has hired crack Viennese lawyer Karl Bernhauser to maximise his earnings, convinced he will serve only a maximum of 10 years in prison.

Bernhauser was previously engaged by a mass murderer dubbed the Black Widow who killed a string of wealthy husbands and boyfriends for their millions.

Elfriede Blaunsteiner - believed to have killed at least 12 men - was in the middle of negotiating a mega movie deal when she died of a heart attack in prison before her trial.

'He claims he wants to make money to care for his family when he has gone - but in truth he's just clawing in as much as he can for himself.

'He is convinced he will leave prison one day and wants a nice, fat fortune to make life easy for him when he's free,' explained one family source.
