Invest £5,000 and win London film audition

A trilogy of films set and filmed in London will have at least one new face among a cast including Neve Campbell and Kelly Reilly.

Any investor willing to stump up at least £5,000 will get the chance to audition for a speaking part in one of them.

Quicksilver Films is looking to raise £2 million of a total £2.4 million budget for the three scripts.

Matchstalk Men, based on a play by Mark Underwood, is a pyromaniac thriller. It has Campbell, star of Scream, Reilly from Mrs Henderson Presents, Leo Gregory, of Stoned and Green Street, and Billy Boyd, from Lord Of The Rings, attached to appear.

The other two films on the slate are The Last Olympian, a futuristicthriller set in 2054, and No Reason, a psychological study of a London office worker.

The projects have been brought together by Rebecca Long, a Rada and King's College graduate; Lance Roehrig, an assistant director, whose work includes Mr Bean's Holiday and Hotel Rwanda; Alexander Holt, a director in film and theatre, and Underwood himself. Long said: "We figured there must be a lot of small investors out there who would love the opportunity to act in a movie."
