Is Banksy restoring his own works of art?

This graffiti work has fuelled speculation that "guerrilla" artist Banksy is determined not to let his creations get washed away and forgotten.

The black stencil-painted figure of a riot cop with a gun and the slogan "Police Everywhere, Justice Nowhere", was cleaned off of a metal panel in Dalston Lane, east London, six weeks ago.

Now the work has reappeared just yards away on a factory wall, prompting talk that the mysterious Bristol-based artist has restored one of his own works.
