Liar: Amanda Lang claimed a soldier raped her after a boozy night out in an RAF bar
Judge Julian Hall told Amanda Lang, 21, she was evil and had done "womankind no good at all" for inventing the story.
Lang met Phillip Trowell as he celebrated the end of a training course at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire.
The pair had consensual sex at the flat on the base Lang shared with her boyfriend, an airman who was away at the time.
Lang later went to police claiming she had been attacked on secluded grassland.
Oxford Crown Court heard that the former call centre worker may have invented her rape account after she was seen leaving the bar with the soldier.
She kept up the pretence for 15 months and "vividly described the emotional effect of the rape on her" until eventually admitting she had lied on the eve of her trial last month.
Amjad Malik, prosecuting, told the court the pair had consensual sex in her bed before Lang suddenly became upset for cheating on her boyfriend.
Mr Trowell comforted her and sent her to the bathroom to compose herself after their encounter in November 2006.
"It may have been he made a mistake by leaving without telling her because within 15 minutes she decided to accuse him of rape," Mr Malik said.
Lang went to a neighbouring room at the base and "feigned an hysterical state," claiming she had been attacked.
She later told police that Mr Trowell, who was serving with the Royal Corps of Signals and is originally from Mansfield, might strike again.
The soldier flew to Cyprus hours after the encounter with Lang and was arrested on arrival the following afternoon.
Mr Malik said Mr Trowell's detailed recollections of Lang's room, phone calls she made and their use of her boyfriend's computer to access the soldier's email account had proved his innocence.
The court heard Lang had made a previous allegation of rape against another man which was investigated, although no charges were brought.
Lang, who lives with her parents in Carterton, a mile from the base, admitted attempting to pervert the course of justice by making the false allegation.
Judge Hall told her false allegations made it more difficult for other women's claims to be taken seriously.
He added: "Every time a woman makes a false allegation of rape it lets down the women who make serious allegations."
