Jailed: The former Page 3 girl who claimed £100,000 in benefits then splashed out £35,000 on a new Porsche

A former glamour model and her husband have been jailed after falsely claiming thousands of pounds in benefits while using hidden savings to fund a lavish spending spree.
Over the course of the three-year deception, Sadie and Derek Collis blew £36,000 on a Porsche Boxster, £12,000 on a 'flashy' Ford Cosworth and £8,000 on further extravagances.
The money came from a £110,000 nest egg the couple - who have a 20-month-old son - had stashed in six secret bank accounts while continuing to claim a total of nearly £14,000 in housing and council tax benefits.
Caught out: Sadie Collis is led away from court, left, and posing in a bikini during one of her modelling assignments
Mrs Collis, 27, who was crowned Miss Great Britain Bikini in 2003, and Mr Collis, 31, who was running his own business, were initially able to claim the benefits legitimately from 2004.
But the couple, from Worthing, West Sussex, subsequently failed to declare £27,000 that Mrs Collis received as a trust fund from her late father and another £43,000 compensation payout Mr Collis received after an accident.
Worthing Magistrates' Court heard that the rest of their nest egg supposedly came from selling possessions on eBay and at car boot sales.
Meanwhile, the couple repeatedly told council benefits officials who visited them that they were living solely on Mr Collis's wages and some working tax credit - and were struggling to make ends meet.

However, the officials remained suspicious of the Collises' apparently wealthy lifestyle and, in August last year, they discovered the hidden bank accounts.
The couple, who have since borrowed money from relatives to repay the whole £13,911 they claimed illegally, pleaded guilty to four joint charges of benefit fraud.
Gareth Morgan, representing the Collises, said: 'Before the couple received the two lump sums, they were in dire straits.
'When they received the money, they chose to use a portion of it paying off debts, and were advised to buy a Porsche as an investment.
'Stupidly, they chose to follow this advice.'

Mrs Collis, who modelled under her maiden name Wigglesworth, sobbed uncontrollably as magistrate Graeme Toole-Mackson sentenced the pair to eight weeks in jail.
Mr Toole-Mackson said: 'It was a joint enterprise and there was an element of greed involved.
'Our decision has been very seriously affected by the type of cars you purchased on two occasions.'
