Jose: I left Wenger in the shade

Jose Mourinho claims he gave more of a help to English football during his time as Chelsea manager than Arsene Wenger.

Mourinho who quit the Blues in September after guiding them to two Premier League titles, said: "Unlike Arsenal, we sought success and tried to build it through a concept of using English players. That was to have a positive effect."

In a book called Jose Mourinho, A Born Winner, he added: "We had to get players without running the risk of filling the club with foreigners."
