Jurors shown bloody pyjamas in trial of Briton accused of killing wife and daughter

The blood-stained clothes of nine-month old Lillian Entwistle were shown to jurors in her British father's double murder trial Monday.
A forensic scientist held up the heavily-stained white sleepsuit worn by Lillian when she was shot dead in Rachel's arms at their home in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
Entwistle did not look at the suit and polka dot pyjamas as they were held up less than five feet away from the jurors, instead staring straight ahead at the judge's bench.

On trial: Neil Entwistle in court yesterday
His mother Yvonne, from Kilton, Worksop, collapsed in her seat at the front of the court's public gallery as the bloodied clothing was displayed.
Her husband Cliff, a Bassetlaw district councillor, looked away from the evidence and held his arm around his wife's shoulder as she cried quietly.
Entwistle's younger brother Russell, who sat next to his parents, leaned forward in his seat and looked down at the floor as none of the Entwistles looked at the clothes during the 50-minutes in which they were on display.
But Rachel's mother Priscilla and stepfather Joseph Matterazzo looked directly at the witness box as the suit was held up. The couple held hands but remained composed throughout, showing little external emotion.
Entwistle's DNA was found on the grip of the .22 Colt revolver used to kill his wife and daughter, an ammunition container and a gun lock, while the DNA of Mrs Entwistle, who had no interest in guns, was found "both in and on the muzzle", the court heard.
The jury has heard that a post-mortem examination found Mrs Entwistle was shot in the forehead at close range and Lillian was killed with a bullet which passed through her abdomen and lodged above her mother's left breast as she cradled her in the four-poster bed in the master bedroom of their home.
Neil Entwistle denies murdering Lillian and his 27-year-old American wife Rachel.
Assistant District Attorney Michael Fabbri, prosecuting, has said Entwistle had a secret life in which he trawled the internet for escorts and looked at websites about bankruptcy, killing and suicide before shooting his family.
He faces life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted of the double murder.
