Keyless chastity belt leaves man feeling the pinch

Firefighters used bolt cutters to free a man of 42 from a titanium chastity belt he had put on before realising neither he nor his girlfriend had the key.

The man had spent most of the day trying to free himself but kept passing out because of the pressure on his genitals. Fire officers took 45 minutes to cut him loose from the padded metal appliance.

Fire crew manager Bernard Healey said: "He was very embarrassed about it all, and very apologetic. He had put a dressing gown over him but apart from that he only had the chastity belt on.

"He'd spent all day trying to get it off and was at the end of his tether. I think he had wanted to use it as part of a game with his girlfriend."

The man had to be given oxygen because of the pain and was taken to hospital for treatment.
