London Eye winner is in the picture with the Standard

To mark this outstanding achievement, the British Airways London Eye invited all visitors to join in the celebrations and add their treasured memories of London's most iconic landmark to a dedicated online gallery. Over 1,000 images were submitted.
Brendon Doran won the competition judged by a panel of experts, including Brit artist Tracey Emin, for his stunning photograph entitled 'Sunset Flare.'
As part of the competition Brendon won a money can't buy prize spending a day at the Evening Standard picture desk as well as a FujiFilm FinePix S6500fd digital camera, a year long pass to all Taussaud's attractions and his winning photo on permanent display at County Hall on London's South Bank.
Brendon said: "I am delighted to be the winner of this competition and had a wonderful day at the Evening Standard picture desk. It was great to get first hand experience of what it would be like to work for a newspaper. It was incredible!"

Conceived in 1994, the British Airways London Eye opened in time for the millennium celebrations.
Since then, the world's tallest observation wheel has provided breath taking views for over 3.5 million visitors a year.
As well as becoming an internationally-recognised symbol for the capital, it is consistently the most popular paid-for visitor attraction in the UK.
