Bollywood Oscar for star from PC World

Former London computer salesman Ash King was celebrating today after picking up an award at India's "Oscars".

King, 25, from Southall, was voted best new singer at Bollywood's annual Stardust awards in Mumbai. He was discovered by composer AR Rahman, who won a Hollywood Oscar for the score of Slumdog Millionaire.

After accepting his award in front of India's biggest movie stars, King, pictured, said: "A year ago I was working in PC World and now I've had two number ones in India, sung on six movie tracks, and Lady Gaga used my vocals on a remix."
