Pierre Williams. an ex-boyfriend of Beverley Samuels, was taken in to custody this morning
Unemployed Pierre Williams, 32, was wanted in connection with the murder of Kesha Wizzart, 18, her mother Beverley Samuels, 36, and brother Fred, 13.
Williams called officers in Birmingham in the early hours of this morning and told them where he was. They then went to his house and arrested him. Detectives from Greater Manchester Police were today travelling there to question him.
Kesha and her family's blood-soaked bodies were found on Thursday evening when a neighbour climbed a ladder to get in through an open window after a relative could not get an answer at the front door.
Once inside, the neighbour discovered a blood-spattered bedroom.
Williams is a former boyfriend of Miss Samuels. She had not seen him for some time until he turned up at her house recently.
A GMP spokeswoman said: "A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the bodies of two women and a boy were found at a house on Thelwall Avenue in Fallowfield on Thursday, July 12.

"GMP was made aware of this arrest at 5am this morning, Saturday July 14.
"Officers from GMP's Major Incident Team are en route to the city to question the man and he remains in police custody."
Last night Superintendent Paul Savill from Greater Manchester Police said: "We are not saying Pierre Williams is responsible for this offence.
Kesha's 35-year old mother Beverley was found murdered along with her daughter
Kesha is believed to have finished her A-Levels at Parrs Wood High School in Didsbury only a few weeks ago. The teenager dreamed of a singing career after performing a Toni Braxton song on the ITV talent show and was tipped for stardom by a local music producer.
She had planned to study law at the University of Manchester and told friends she wanted to become a barrister but always held on to the hope of one day achieving fame through her singing.
Mrs Samuels had split from her long-term partner and father of the children, IT worker Fred Wizzart.
Mr Wizzart returned to his children's home on Thursday night after the bodies were found and was consoled by neighbours.
He was heard screaming: "Why my children?" in the street.
Williams grew up in the Moss Side district of Manchester although had more recently lived in Birmingham.
Superintendent Paul Savill refused to answer questions on where the three bodies were found in the house or how they were killed.
He also would not comment on a possible motive for the attacks.
He said: "These murders are horrific and as I am sure you can appreciate, the family and friends of the victims are devastated.
"We are absolutely determined to find the person responsible for these despicable murders and will not rest until they are brought to justice."
Kesha also had a CD produced of her music after she beat off hundreds of music hopefuls to win a competition by local radio station Carnival FM, in Manchester.
A tearful friend lays flowers for Kesha and her family. Friends and family are said to be devastated by the murders
