Moped gang smash into Dolce & Gabbana store

Smash and grab raiders struck at another store in the West End last night.

Four youths on mopeds smashed the front windows of the Dolce & Gabbana store in New Bond Street but did not manage to steal anything.

When police arrived at 10.50pm the gang had disappeared.

Witnesses said one of the youths used a sledgehammer to break through the front door of the shop.

The raid is the latest in a long series of attacks on stores and jewellers in the West End and other parts of London, including Watches of Switzerland, Cartier, and Tiffany and Co.
