The transport committee's report also criticised the Mayor for not getting London's transport network back up and running more quickly and for his reluctance to face MPs' scrutiny. He at one point tried to leave a meeting in April, and last week was cleared of accusations of misconduct at another.

It adds: "We hope the Mayor will acknowledge the transport situation on 1 and 2 February was unsatisfactory."
