Heather Finkill, 30, of Pinewood Park, Farnborough, was found by a motorist early yesterday morning.

The dead woman, who was wearing bright pink trousers, was discovered at 7am on the northbound section of the M3, near Yately in Hampshire after being hit by several cars. The motorway was closed for serveral hours causing severe delays.

The woman's body was discovered this morning on the M3

Sergeant Paul Plees of the Road Traffic Investigation Unit said: "We are still investigating the circumstances of this incident. We would appeal to anyone with information to come forward."

Police said Ms Finkill was wearing distinctive pink trousers, a blue hooded top and white trainers.

Her body, which was badly disfigured, is believed to have been struck by a number of commuter vehicles.
