Now Pamela Anderson slams Sarah Palin: 'I can't stand her... she can suck it!'

Former Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson has joined a growing Hollywood revolt against Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, saying: 'I can't stand her'.

The actress was in Toronto for a rally against cruelty to animals when she was quizzed by E! News Canada about her feeling towards Ms Palin.

'I can't stand her. She can suck it!' was the unequivocal reply.

At war: Former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson is not swept up in Palinmania

Ms Anderson's comments followed actor Matt Damon's warning of the 'scary' possibility of Ms Palin becoming president.

The actor, who is renowned for his left wing views, insisted that statistically there was a 'really terrifying' possibility the Alaska governor could take over the Oval Office.

Damon, a Barack Obama supporter and heavy contributor to liberal groups, said: 'I think the pick was made for political reasons, but in terms of governance, it was a disaster.

'I think there's a really good chance that Sarah Palin could be president, and I think that's the really scary thing.'

It would be preposterous having Palin as McCain's right-hand woman when her only political experience was being governor for two years and serving as a small-town mayor, Damon said.

Speaking in Toronto before a film festival, he added: 'It's like a really bad Disney movie. The hockey mom from Alaska and she's the president and it's like she's facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink and it's absurd.

'It's totally absurd, and I don't know why more people aren't talking about how absurd it is.'

Referring to Palin's belief that creationism should be taught in schools, Damon continued: 'I need to know if she really think that dinosaurs were here 4,000 years ago. I want to know that, I really do. Because she's gonna have the nuclear codes.'

Palin spokeswoman Maria Comella struck back: 'It's not surprising that Barack Obama and his celebrity supporters continue to tear down Governor Palin with little more than blatant name calling.

'It's clear they're threatened by a candidate who actually has a record of achieving reform and change, while Barack Obama just talks about it.'
