25 January 2008
It was presented to Richard Horsington at the club's first ever cup final - the London FA Challenge Cup in 1890.
The match saw Royal Arsenal - one of the club's previous names - lose 1-0 to Old Westminster at the Kennington Oval, watched by 5,000 spectators. The medal is still in its original burgundy leather and case, with the London Football Association's initials in gilt lettering.
It has a shield emblem on the front, with "RT Horsington" and the season dates on the back. It is one of 11 handed out on the day.
Auctioneers Sportingold are offering the medal for sale at their auction at Northampton Rugby Club and expect it to fetch up to £6,000.
Other lots include former England player Colin Bell's caps and shirts and an 1910 programme from the now-defunct Glossop FC.
