Olympic tips put Sheva on the fast track to recovery

The Olympic gold medallist recently became the Ukrainian's sprint coach and the results have prompted team-mates to show an interest in following suit.
Shevchenko scored his first league goal of the season as a late substitute in Chelsea's 6-0 win against Manchester City last Saturday and gave Campbell some of the credit.
The sprinter responded: "Andriy has worked very hard. In the last few games he feels there has been a definite improvement and he has been scoring, so I think our training has worked out.
"When he rang [on Saturday] he was thanking me and saying how grateful he was for what I had done for him.
"He was just very, very happy. He was saying 'I feel good. I feel sharp'. The other coaches had been saying he was looking sharp in training, and that is always a good sign, because when other people notice it means something.
"One of the problems you find with footballers, especially when they have picked up injuries, is that they don't rehab properly. Every time they get injured, they tend to lose a bit of speed. It's all about muscle memory.
"Shevchenko is a world-class striker but he needed to recover some of his technique, to give his muscles the feeling of running fast again.
"His game is based on being sharp over 10, 20, 30 metres, and it was clear from early on in our sessions that he still had the speed.
"With direction from club doctor Bryan English, we have worked on problems in his lower back, on strengthening his shoulders, and on getting greater flexibility into his hip after the operation he had. It was like giving him an MOT."
Other players could now turn to Campbell for help. He said: "A number of Chelsea players want to work with me because of my success with Sheva."
